Hey there!
It's been a while since our last update, but rest assured, we've been hard at work. While there haven't been any major feature releases in recent weeks, we've dedicated countless hours to ensuring that fynk remains stable, fast, and secure as we continue to scale.
Right now, we're pushing the boundaries of what's possible, coding at lightning speed! (Okay, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but you get the idea.) We're excited to share that we're working on some fantastic new features that you'll absolutely love.
Additionally, we've rolled out a substantial number of improvements, and without further ado, let's dive into the details.
In app onboarding 💡
Welcome to fynk!
Taking first steps in an advanced app like fynk can be overwhelming at times. To enable our dear users taking their first steps on their own, we've added in-app onboarding modules. We will try to iterate and expand on this in the next weeks, but for now we can offer in-app onboardings for:
Account Setup
First look
First template creation
Template editor
New activities in Activity feed 👀
Have you ever asked yourself, if the external signatory received your email? Wanted to know whether the person you've invited to a document viewed it?
Well, ask yourself no more! We've added a ton of information to the document activity feed, such as:
Notifications - All document notifications, will now be shown in the activity feed, alongside with delivery information and, if used, the personal message.
Document access - Every document access is now shown in the activity feed as well.
New dashboard widgets 📊
Need more data on your dashboard? With our new clause and party overview widgets you can browse specific documents in the blink of an eye!
Just hit the edit dashboard button and add them to the dashboard of your choice!
Dates & duration tab rework 📅
We've also reworked the recently added dates & duration tab to make it more accessible. Also, it is now possible to use this tab in the template creation process, to enable linking your dynamic fields to system date metadata to make document creation even more statisfying and easy.
Improved external document access 🔒
External document access used to be restricted to the validity duration of access links, which was problematic for two reasons:
After the original link expired, the external user would have to be granted access to the document again by an internal user
link validity was quite long, making these links insecure for some scenarios.
To tackle both issues, we've reworked the external access workflow so that the duration is only 48 hours from now on, but if you try to access a document with an expired link, a fresh link is automatically sent to the original email address. This way, as long as you have access to your emails, you also have access to your documents.
